NUVIA wins a major contract in radiation protection services for Bruce Power.

NUVIA is pleased to announce it has been awarded a major contract by Bruce Power for radiation protection services on Canada’s largest infrastructure project.

NUVIA’s local subsidiary based in Toronto will provide radiation protection services in support of all programs during execution of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) Unit 6 project. NUVIA will significantly contribute to Bruce Power’s nuclear power plant Life Extension Program, the largest infrastructure project in the country.

As part of the contract, NUVIA will provide core services to offer direct radiation protection assistance for assigned work. These services will be executed in support of all programs during the Unit 6 refurbishment where radiation protection is required, as well as other activities including licensed source handling, and the transfer and receipt of designated materials.

Earlier this year, NUVIA opened a new Radiological Protection Training Centre in Tiverton, and started training technicians in order to support Bruce Power.
